DAY-BY-DAY EXPEDITION GUIDE

Victoria Falls, Chobe, Hwange Itinerary

An expert-guided, 7- day conservation and wildlife journey through roaring waterfalls, monumental granite hills, and wild elephant corridors.

Day 1: Arrival at Victoria Falls Airport & Transfer to Chobe Lodge

Touch down at Victoria Falls International Airport (VFA), where you will be met upon arrival and transferred across the border to Kasane, Botswana. Check in at Chobe Safari Lodge (or similar), beautifully situated on the banks of the Chobe River. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, unwinding by the pool or simply enjoying the tranquil river views.
 
In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at the lodge and settle into the start of your Botswana safari adventure.
Embark on an early morning game drive in Chobe National Park, renowned for having one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, as well as lions, leopards, and large herds of buffalo. Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast, followed by some time to relax and escape the midday heat.
In the afternoon, set out on a scenic boat cruise along the Chobe River, where you may spot hippos, crocodiles, and elephants gathering along the shoreline. As the sun sets, enjoy the spectacular views and the magical atmosphere of the African wilderness. Return to the lodge for dinner.

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge before taking a road transfer across the border into Zimbabwe to explore Victoria Falls. Upon arrival, check into your hotel or lodge and take some time to settle in and relax.
Spend the afternoon at leisure, either relaxing at the property or choosing from a range of optional activities, such as a scenic helicopter flight over the falls, zip-lining, or a visit to the local market
Set out on a guided walking tour of the mighty Victoria Falls and experience the thunderous roar and refreshing mist of one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.
Spend the afternoon at leisure, relaxing at your accommodation or exploring the town of Victoria Falls.
In the late afternoon, board a riverboat for a sunset cruise along the Zambezi River. Enjoy drinks and light refreshments while watching wildlife along the riverbanks and taking in the spectacular scenery as the sun sets
Check out after breakfast and take a scenic drive southeast through the historic coal-mining town of Hwange towards Hwange National Park.
Upon arrival, check in at Hwange Safari Lodge (or similar), set on a private concession bordering the park. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive in an open safari vehicle, with opportunities to spot large herds of wildlife, predators, and a rich variety of birdlife.
Return to the lodge for dinner, with views over the estate’s active waterhole, where wildlife often gathers as the day comes to an end.
Spend a full day exploring Hwange National Park in an open 4×4 safari vehicle, accompanied by experienced guides who know the park’s wildlife, tracking routes, and waterholes. Pause for a bush lunch in the heart of the park before continuing your game drive into the late afternoon, with further opportunities to spot wildlife in their natural habitat. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and unwind around the fire pit, sharing the day’s safari experiences beneath the African night sky.

Enjoy a final safari breakfast at the lodge before checking out and taking your return transfer to Victoria Falls International Airport (VFA) for your onward flight.
